Sponsor a Child this Christmas!

Description : Starting November 22, you will have an opportunity to bless a child from our neighborhood with a new toy and a new pair of shoes for Christmas. This project called "Melvin’s Hope" was inspired in 2001 by an eight-year-old boy named Melvin who did not have a pair of shoes that fit his feet but had the courage to ask for help when he needed it. Since then, we've supplied nearly 300 kids each year with new shoes and toys. For many of our kids, these gifts are the only ones they will receive this Christmas. So join in the fun of giving!

The children’s names and wish lists will be available at area churches (Sanctuary, CrossPointe, Gateway, and Granite Springs) and at The GreenHouse from Nov. 22 to Dec 6.

To find out how you can sponsor a child this Christmas, contact us at info@thegreenhousecenter.org. Wrapped gifts are due back by Sunday, Dec 13 and the gifts will be delivered on Sunday, Dec. 20 from 2:00-4:00. Join us for delivery day!

EnvironMentors, a national college access program, was founded in 1992  as an environment-based mentoring program whose mission is to  “mentor and motivate high school students from under-resourced communities as they conduct scientific research and acquire skills that will allow them to build careers and become more active stewards of their communities and the environment.”
