Interning with VN CARES for the past two year was a great experience. I gained not just clinical and medical experience, but I, also, learned a great deal about my culture and myself. Who cares? VN CARES; of course!

My internship opened my eyes to the importance of networking. Through my internship, I was able to interact with amazing people who have impacted my interests and ultimately the experiences and people I will meet in the future. I was first introduced to John Muir Health seven years ago as an intern, and returned this past summer as a volunteer. Along the way, I realized that I want to choose a career path very similar to those of the people I have worked with. That is, I hope to do work that aids others.

As an intern working in the Student Recruitment and Retention Center, I learned that I love working with students which being a Student Advisor allows me to do. I am very excited to be working with the Internship and Career Center.

While working at the Career Recruiting Programs Office (in the Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center) I've had the opportunity to interact with recruiters from many different companies and learn what they're looking for in applicants. I look forward to sharing what I've learned and helping my peers.

I got to see state government at such a crucial time, in such a great state and all from a first hand perspective. And, if that wasn’t enough, I even got to meet Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.”
