Camp Adventure International Information Meeting

Freshmen to graduating students! Become a summer camp counselor or teach swimming to children of U.S. military or U.S. embassy staff in Europe, Asia and the U.S. for 10 weeks, with weekends off for travel. Fall & spring opportunities are also available to recent grads and continuing students.
Free air fare, free housing, + $22/day stipend. All majors welcome!
Forty-four UC Davis students participated in Summer 09 in Japan, Germany, Italy, Spain, Korea & Hawaii. To participate in the summer program, attend one of the Leadership Accessment Centers for the day-long group interview on Saturday, November 21 at UC Davis or Saturday, December 12 at CSU Sacramento. Then train winter quarter and receive CRD 98/198 units.

Peace Corps: Manchild in the Wasteland- A Play

You are invited to experience a play written and performed by Davis native and returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Barton Bryan. His one-man show, Manchild in the Wasteland, will be presented one night only at the International House in Davis, 10 College Park, Davis, www.internationalhousedavis.org
Barton takes the audience on a roller coaster ride beginning with his desire to join the Peace Corps, his struggle to adapt to the realities of living in West Africa and finally, his decision to come to terms with being a part of the village. While on the journey, Peace Corps' Head Trainer Buck Hess will open your eyes to all the fascinating and sometimes shocking details of being a West African Peace Corps Volunteer.
Tickets are $15 and $10 for students. Seating is limited.
