Internships
Vet Aide Club internships provides our members with the opportunity to interact with staff and current veterinary students at the VMTH. Vet Aides have proven to be great assets at their internships while learning the required skills for future success. These volunteers benefit from lasting relationships made with the VMTH staff as they work side by side with veterinary professionals. Being an effective vet aid requires patience, enthusiasm, participation, and initiative to provide maximum benefit to both student and staff.
This club is of great value to those of you who are pre-vet students who wish to aspire and obtain a working knowledge of the different areas of the VMTH and who wish to gain insight into what it's like to be a vet student. Your hours accumulated while working as a vet aide help students develop their interests and decide on a particular specialization for vet school. This knowledge and experience is often used as a stepping stone toward future internships, jobs, or as experience hours required for vet school admission.
To apply for an internship with the Vet Aide Club you must:
1.) Be an undergraduate student in any major at the University of California, Davis.
2.) E-mail our President, Nicole San Jose at nssanjose@ucdavis.edu to be added to our list serve, providing you with the most current updates and opportunities available with our club.
3.) Complete a Membership/Internship Application and turn it in on or before our Fall Quarter Internship Sign-Up Meeting.
