The 2009 Community Service Fair

This fall event attracts hundreds of students and staff members who are looking for volunteer positions, internships, and career opportunities with non-profit organizations. The Community Service Fair is a great way to interact with the UC Davis community and further publicize your organization.

* There are four ways to publicize your event or organization.
  1. Send a message on our weekly listerv which currently serves nearly 5,000 students/staff/faculty. For information on how to create a message announcement, please see below.
  2. Post an announcement on our website. All messages sent on our listserv are automatically posted on our website as well. Check the'Volunteers' link on our homepage to view a list of current volunteer opportunities.
  3. If you are not already in our database of non-profit agencies, join today! We currently host nearly 400 organizations, which serves as a valuable resource to students/staff/faculty interested in community service. To sign-up on our database, please contact us at communityservice@ucdavis.edu
  4. Send us paper information about your organization. Our office is located on the central campus, 225 South Hall, and we maintain a library of pamphlets, brochures, and other informational material on non-profit organizations. We recommend you send no more than 50 brochures. To inquire furthter contact our office at (530) 752-3813.

Weekly Listerv Posting Guidelines
  • Name of organization and service opportunity
  • 3-5 sentences describing the service opportunity and/or background information of the organization.
  • Contact information
  • Due to spam precautions, attachments and other supplementary documents will not be sent out to the listserv.
  • We only send the listserv out once a week on Mondays, to be sure your opportunity is posted, you MUST submit it by 9AM on the MONDAY of the week you want it sent out!!!

Please keep in mind that students will contact you for further information so only a brief summary of your service is needed.
