The projects, which are scheduled for a few hours after work or on the weekend, are designed to make the maximum impact in minimal time. You select projects based on your interests. You may be passionate about the environment, feel a connection with children or senior citizens, or believe strongly in providing emergency food or clothing to low-income or homeless families. Hands On Sacramento volunteer projects cover a wide range of diverse issues. Once you become a Hands On Sacramento volunteer, the number of projects in which you participate is up to you. You may choose a new project every week, concentrate your efforts on a single ongoing project, or decide to volunteer just once a month or once a year. Certain projects are designated as appropriate and fun for children, while others are perfect for adults, corporate teams or families.
