We have adopted a research based model, known as youth development. ADMH Prevention Services encourages Yolo County communities to support prevention efforts by providing information, trainings, activities and programs which educate people and promotes community service. It also encourages building youth-adult partnerships which promote positive communities free of alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) and creating communities which value youth input and provides opportunities for young people to be active leaders and resources. ADMH Prevention Services facilitates collaboration among organizations and individuals who are concerned with alcohol, drug and mental health related issues. The staff at ADMH Prevention Services is dedicated to youth development, a process that engages young people in building the skills, attitudes, knowledge and experiences that prepare them for the present and the future. The youth programs in the ADMH Prevention Services include: FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE: Is a high school based club that is youth driven and youth led. It builds partnerships for positive and healthy youth development which engage youth as active leaders and resources in their community. CLUB LIVE: Is the middle school version of Friday Night Live.
