What resources are available?

• A thriving, supportive web-based community where you can dialogue with "Versatile PhDs" in and outside the academy.  This community is completely confidential – your user information will not be shared with university administrators, peers or anyone else.   

• Premium content for free.  UC Davis Graduate Studies has generously purchased a premium content subscription to ensure that you have access to all portions of the Versatile PhD site including:

• A library of excellent first-person narratives written by experienced post-academic humanists and social scientists who describe how they forged careers outside the academy
• Hiring Success Stories, document sets consisting of CV, resume, cover letter, hiring narrative and position announcement or job description, which collectively show how one PhD or ABD got his or her first post-academic position.
• Full text of archived Career Panel discussions featuring PhDs who have successfully transitioned to a variety of rewarding careers.
• A Referral Service of Versatile PhDs who are willing to serve as information-interviewees.
