The following is a list of California Hospitals, listed by city. We cannot guarantee that these hospitals will take volunteers, but they are listed here for you as a resource. In your search, attempt to contact the Volunteer Services or the Hospital Auxillary Services departments.
If you are interested in volunteering at a clinic, the Community Service Resource Center Office has Community Service Directories you can search through by subject. They are located at 225 South Hall. Please note that a Self-Developed Internship in Health & Biological Sciences must be at least 40 hours per quarter, have a professional supervisor, and volunteers must perform academically related tasks in order to receive transcript notation. You may want to bring an extra copy of the expanded UCDMC Clinical Internships with you when meet with these locations, in order to have a guide of internship duties and experiences. For more information, regarding self-developed internships, stop by and speak to a Student Advisor or Coordinator at the ICC.
