An invitation to take part in a unique experience of cultural exchange, in which exchange students and graduates share their language and culture with Argentine, Chilean or Spanish students of English in their role of Culture & Language Facilitators at schools or language schools, become involved in a Spanish-speaking community while staying with a family, and learn the language in an intensive Spanish Immersion Programme (optional) and through further Spanish Coaching.

Opportunities for all majors. Internships and housing are arranged. Internship opportunities have included International Economic Development, Health Care, Automotive Engineering (BMW, Porsche, Toyota) Public Relations, Banking, Information Technology, and Business. Countries have included Germany, France, Switzerland, Argentina, Japan, South Africa, Singapore, China and England. Drop by anytime Monday thru Friday between 9am to 4p to room 318 South Hall and read the student reports from sample internships. The ICE Menlo binder should provide more specific program expectations.

Teach Away Inc. specializes in ESL teaching placements in Asia. We currently work with Ministries of Education and Private Language Schools in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. We also offer placements in Hong Kong, China, and Mexico. Teach Away was recently selected by the National Ministry of Education in Korea to provide English teachers for its renowned EPIK program. In addition, Teach Away has partnered with some of the most reputable language schools in Asia, allowing recent grads to choose from a variety of countries and programs. VIA's Stanford Programs offer a wide range of short-term, international study programs between the U.S. and Asia and among various Asian nations.

WorldTeach is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based at the Center for International Development at Harvard University which provides opportunities for individuals to make a meaningful contribution to international education by living and working as volunteer teachers in developing countries. WorldTeach has established a proud history of contributing to international education and development as well as promoting cultural exchange between disparate regions of the world. WorldTeach has placed thousands of volunteer educators in communities throughout Asia, Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe.

Non-profit organization searching for college graduates to teach English in China for the duration of one academic semester or year. Travel expenses covered. Excellent mental and physical health required.
Council on International Educational Exchange
Provides work authorization in numerous countries including Ireland, Canada, France, Costa Rica, Australia, China, etc. There is no formal application deadline. Once CIEE receives a completed application, processing may take up to four weeks. Work permits are provided prior to departure. Job listings and housing vacancies are available at CIEE offices abroad.
Cultural Homestay International (CHI)
CHI is a non-profit educational exchange organization that is looking for people who want to make a difference in other people's lives. All applicants should have good skills with teens, families, and schools. These positions are part-time, and pay supplementary income. Positions available may include Teacher Coordinator, Group Homestay Academic Coordinator , Academic Year Program Career Exploration Coordinator.

English Program In Korea (EPIK)
EPIK invites foreign university graduates to enrich their lives and build a professional teaching career while sharing knowledge and culture with students and teachers throughout the Republic of Korea. English Language Instructors (ELIs) from six major English speaking countries participate in this program; Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America, to teach English in the school system, to train Korean English teachers, and to assist Provincial Offices of Education (POEs).

Peace Corps Education Volunteers work with local teachers to help develop educational materials that are relevant to the community, making what is learned in the classroom more easily understood and more easily applied. They teach subjects like health awareness and environmental protection as they relate to the needs of the people. If a village needs a school or a library, volunteers often help make it happen, from constructing the building to finding books for people to read.
