Interview Schedules
Interviews are conducted using preselect schedules, meaning employers pre-screen resumes to decide which students to interview. To fill the interview time slots, employers select two groups of students, one as the primary choice, and one group as stand-by or alternates for cases where students in the first group fail to sign up. Students selected for the second group comprise the alternate preselect schedules.
At specified times, students selected use Aggie Job Link to sign up for interviews from available time slots on the date of the interview. See the Deadline dates for each job. Deadline time is 11:59 p.m. for all dates.
Note: One exception to preselect schedules is that government agencies conduct open schedules, meaning students will be able to sign up for schedules on a first come, first serve basis provided the student meets the employer's specified qualifications.
Below is a flowchart overview of the On Campus Interview (OCI) process from the student perspective showing how preselect schedules (and alternate preselect schedules) work.

1) How do OCI visits work in terms of time slots available?On-Campus interview time slots are allotted throughout the day of the visit. For example, if the company is coming on Monday, they will have several interview time slots beginning at 8:30AM all the way through 4:30 PM on that day. This is the typical day of interviews time line and it stays this way for most companies, unless they request to change it. On a normal schedule, there are usually 12 interview time slots. Lunch is between 11:45 and 1:15.
2) How long do interviews usually take?
Interviews are usually 30 minutes, unless the recruiter specifies that he would like longer or shorter interviews. Occasionally, they are 45 minutes, rarely they are 60 minutes. However, for the most part, most employers set up 30-minute interviews.
