Each job description for an employer interviewing on campus will list the resume submission date range. Resume submissions usually begin 30 days prior to an employer's scheduled campus visit. Resume submissions begin at 12:01 a.m. on the start date, and end at 8:59 p.m. on the closing date. After you have registered to create an account (see above):1. Log in to My Aggie Job Link using your username and password.
2. Click "On-Campus Interviewing"
3. Click "Search for Employers Recruiting on Campus and Post Resumes" (Every employer visiting for an on campus interview, must have an attached job listing.)
4. Scroll to the bottom. Enter the correct Interview date range for the current Quarter:
Fall: September 1 (9/1) to December 15 (12/15)
Winter: January 1 (1/1) to March 20 (3/20)
Spring: April 1 (4/1) to June 15 (6/15)
Date format: 9/1/2005
5. Click the [Search] button at the bottom of the form. 6. Find the company you are interested in and under Visit Details, click the date of the visit (mm/dd/yyyy) to view jobs the company will be interviewing for on that visit.
7. If you are eligible to apply for an on campus interview with this company, you will see deadlines for resume submissions and interview signup.
If the system says you do not meet the requirements, check your major, GPA, graduation date, Class standing, current degree (if any), and Work authorization type with these directions: - To change your information so it is correct in the system, click "My Profile", click the "Edit" link to the right of "Educational Information", then click the text with your degree and graduation date (for example, "Bachelor's (Biotechnology ) Graduating June 2002 "). Update your profile the click "Submit Info".
- If US Citizen is a requirement, click "My Profile", click the "Edit" link to the right of "Demographic Information", in the drop down box under "Visa type", you must select " US Citizen" to meet this requirement, then click the "Submit Information" link. - Currently, your GPA must meet the employer's requirements for both overall GPA and Major GPA.
- If the Employer is looking only for those with Bachelor's degrees and you have a higher degree, your BS must meet the requirement, including for graduation date, otherwise you will get a message that says you do not meet the requirements.
- If the Employer checked both BS & Masters, you will meet the requirements with only a BS. Click "My Profile", the "Edit" link to the right of "Educational Information", then "Add another degree" so your Bachelor's degree shows up. You may be asked to Email your resume directly to an employer at a given Email address, otherwise, if you are eligible, you will see a link that says " click here to apply". You may also see a link that says “ Submit your Resume to be considered.”
8. At the "Apply On-Line" screen, you will need to have a resume uploaded. If you do not already have a resume uploaded, follow these directions: A. At the "Apply On-line" screen, click " Select a resume."
B. At the "Manage Resumes" screen, click " Click here to upload a resume."
C. At the "Resumes" screen, click the [Browse] button and find your resume on your computer or on you floppy disk.
D. Enter a title for your resume
E. Click the " Upload resume" link.
F. At the "Primary resume status" screen click the "Change primary resume status" link.
G. Now have to click "On-Campus Interviewing" at the top of the page.
The system has now forgotten where you were, so you will have to go back to step 3 above. When you get to step 8 the second time, you will have a resume uploaded. If you have a resume uploaded, under "Include resume" you will have a drop-down list. 9. Select your resume from the list. You may also add a cover letter and unofficial transcript. 10. Click the " SEND DOCUMENTS!" button.
11. You will now be back at the "On-Campus Interview Search Options" screen. Click the title of the job you just applied to and scroll to the bottom. Under "current status (in the middle of the last box) you will see something like, "Your resume submission is currently under consideration. If chosen, Signup will be between 8/11/2003 and 8/13/2003" You will receive an automatic Email notification if you are pre-selected for an interview. More Help
