Job Search Assistance for Teachers - School of Education

(K-12) Teacher Credentialed Program Students and Alumni

The UC Davis School of Education (SOE), and Internship and Career Center (ICC) have partnered to help meet the career service needs of the UC Davis credentialed and master's degree students, and alumni.

To support credential candidates, a Career Resource Manual for single and multiple subject teachers was developed with tips on writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for an interview, and successfully using Edjoin.com. The manual also includes samples of resumes, cover letter, and NCLB and ELL/CLAD work-around documents. The Career Resource Manual can be accessed via the SOE's Intranet. Simply login, select SOE Guides, Student Services Guides, Credential/MA Program, and then Edjoin.

The most popular job search site for finding teaching positions (K-12) is Edjoin.com.

Career Advising

You can make a confidential, one-to-one advising appointment, get help in preparing your application materials (resume and cover letter) or practice for an interview. ICC makes advising appointments online via Handshake. All School of Education students have an account. Simply log in, complete your profile indicating your degree level as "Teaching Credential" and year in school as "Teacher Credential Program", and make an appointment that fits your schedule. If you have trouble, please contact mppcareers@ucdavis.edu.
